Sevres Imperial Porcelain Plate 1811 SERVICE FOND NANKIN LIERRE COLOREE
A superb Sevres porcelain plate, made in 1811.
Probably sold to PRINCE FREDERICK OF PRUSSIA 15th July 1815.
"Supplement au service fond Nankin lierre regulier colorie" that entered the Sevres factory sale store 23rd September 1812. (Vbb5, fol.6). Sold 15th July 1815.
The original service of 1810 was made for the Palace of Saint Cloud. A number of Imperial events, including the marriage of Napoleon to Marie Louise in 1810 and the baptism of the King of Rome in 1811 took place there. It was destroyed in 1870 during the Franco-Prussian war.
Measures approx 9.5 Inches wide.
Excellent condition. Minute painted chip under rim.
